The Selection Process

AUA practices holistic admissions. We select students who have the skills and ability to succeed and that AUA is well suited to their educational and career goals. Once you submit your application, it is screened for technical eligibility. If eligible, the admissions committee will then conduct a thorough review of your application, which may include inviting you to an interview.

As admissions to AUA is competitive, the committee will consider both academic and personal information including educational background, official entrance exam scores, extracurricular and volunteer experience, a personal statement, and the interview, if applicable.

To learn when admission notifications will be sent, refer to Policy 3. Undergraduate Application Status and Decisions.

Decisions made by the admissions committee are final and cannot be updated or appealed.

If your official test scores are below the minimum targets for the program to which you are applying, you may be offered conditional admission.

If you are interested in submitting new information after the published deadline date, please note that your application may be moved to the next deadline date. Please download the Petition to Submit New Information for more information.
